Who I help and how

I look after pets when their owners need to go on holiday, travel for work, or simply want to leave their animal with someone reliable for a few days. I take dogs in for home boarding, and I can also care for birds, reptiles and other pets. If it's better for the pet to stay in familiar surroundings, I can stay at the owner's home instead. I stick to the pet's usual feeding, walking and care routine, taking into account its character and particular needs. I send photos and videos so you know how its day is going and that everything's fine.

How the work goes

Before the first stay or pet-sitting session, we meet and go through everything important: food, routine, walks, character, health, habits and any special care needs. If your dog stays with me, you bring their food and essentials, and from there they live a normal home life: walking, resting, playing and getting plenty of attention. For birds, reptiles and other pets, I can either come to you or stay at your home. I feed them, change their water, clean up, keep to the right routine and follow your care instructions. While you're away, I regularly send photos and videos. If I notice anything unusual in the pet's behaviour or wellbeing, I get in touch with you straight away.

I have dogs, birds and a tortoise of my own, so I understand exactly how hard it is to leave a pet with someone else and just hope that "everything's fine over there." I have experience with home boarding and animal care. I take the owner's instructions seriously and don't try to reshape the pet's usual routine to suit me. I'm perfectly happy to get a detailed two-page brief. The more I know about your pet, the easier it is to make sure your absence goes smoothly for them. And yes, feel free to ask for photos and videos without any hesitation. I know the phrase "everything's fine" is never a substitute for a photo of a happy face.
