Who we help and how
For parents moving to Spain and looking for a school where their child won't get lost in the crowd. The school helps children settle gently into the Spanish education system: starting the language from scratch, with support from teachers and genuine attention to how the child is feeling. Children join at nursery age and stay right through to bachillerato — no need to change schools when moving up to the next stage.
How the work goes
It all begins with a visit: you come along, look round the school and talk to the admissions team — in Spanish or English. They then place your child in the right class and draw up a settling-in plan: where language support is needed, and where help with particular subjects. Teaching follows the Spanish curriculum, but with elements of Montessori, Waldorf and farm-school methods: some lessons are held outdoors, and the children have a farm and horse riding.
Why trust us
The school's official name is Colegio María de Iciar. It has been running since 1968 and sits in the countryside between Manises and Riba-roja — open spaces rather than city walls. It is accredited by the International Schools Association (ISA). Classes are small: the teacher sees each child, not just a face in the crowd.
